Last weekend I was part of a scavenger hunt. I was holding the clue for a group of people to FIND. They made their way through the tavern and asked almost everyone BUT me if they had the clue. I have met these people before on more than one occasion. Friend of a friend sort of situation. Anyway, they FINALLY asked if I had their clue. I gave them their clue. They moved on to the next stop of the hunt.
I later met up with these people to continue the birthday celebration. Apparently, due to the fact that they struggled to find me, that team took too much time and the other team won the race. One of the losing team members made a comment to me.
“Dawn, you are just so BENIGN. You totally blend in with the crowd. Nothing about you stands out.”
How would you take that? I don’t think he was trying to be mean. Why does this bother me so much. BENIGN…????? ME??? Huhh?
