Over at MISS ZOOTS I read a post about songs to embarrass and or use as leverage for her teenage son. I made a CD once to have handy whenever one of my son’s friends would get in the car. I also loved to have it on-and loud- while dropping him off at school. OH THE EMBARRASSMENT!! I love to embarrass my kids. Even if it is at my own expense. Turns out most of his friends thought it was a hoot and now have asked for copies of some of these songs.

One of my biggest frustrations with my son would be when he would come home and tell me about a “new song” and here it would a REMAKE of one from MY era…
He wouldn’t believe me even after I could recite all the lyrics of his “new song”
–the BEST was when I pulled out a 45-with plastic disk still in it-and showed him the title and date!!
